Yes.
Location (s) Covered by Law or Regulation
The law pertains to a "school entity" during school hours, at a school-sponsored activity or while under the supervision of school personnel. A school entity is defined as a district, intermediate unit, charter school or area vocational-tech school.
Is Parental Permission Required?
The parent or guardian must sign a form provided by the school attesting: 1. the school is not responsible for ensuring the student uses the sunscreen; 2. the student knows how to use and dispose of product. The Department of Education will develop a model form to provide to schools.
Is Sun-Protective Clothing Allowed to be Worn at School?
Sun-protective clothing is allowed, but subject to school prohibitions.
Are Hats Allowed as a Sun-Protective Item?
Hats are allowed, but subject to school prohibitions.
