International Preceptorship

Program re-opens February 2019. 

The ASDS International Preceptorship Program sends an international dermatologic surgeon to the U.S. to shadow a Preceptor, observing a variety of treatments and advanced techniques, consulting with patients and more. This helps foster an exchange of dermatologic surgery knowledge between international colleagues and helps to improve patient care. Limited funding is available. One international dermatologist is selected annually.

International preceptee applicant must:

Be a member of ASDS (or members of international societies based on work group approval)Practice dermatologic surgery full-time in a non-U.S. dermatologic surgery private or academic institution 

Submit the completed application and all other required components including

Curriculum Vitae (3 pages or less)Proof of licensure in dermatologyRecent electronic photographAn essay outlining your career goals and how preceptorship will have an impact your future practice in dermatologic surgeryAn estimated budget for the trip from international destination to the U.S./Canada
