RENEW Your ASDS/A Membership

How to Renew Your ASDS/A Membership

  1. Click here or “Member Login” located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Enter your Primary Email and Password. If you do not have this, please click “Reset Password.”
  3. Click the "Overview" tab. Then click the yellow "Renew" button towards the center of the screen.
  4. You may make a tax-deductible donation to the DermaSurgery Advancement Fund. If participating, enter your desired donation amount.
  5. Click the green "Renew and Checkout" button at the bottom of the page.
  6. Verify your information and then click the green "Checkout" button.
  7. Select the appropriate billing address or enter a new one.
  8. Enter your credit card. You may click the checkbox to save your card for future purchases.
  9. You can opt in to Auto Pay to allow ASDS to automatically charge your credit card on file for future membership payments. You will be notified before any charges are initiated.
  10. Click the green "Submit Your Order" button.

REJOIN ASDS

Former ASDS members who have let their membership lapse can easily reinstate by paying the current year’s membership dues. Membership support of ASDS/A is immeasurable in enhancing our commitment to promoting the expertise of board-certified dermatologists all year long and ensuring policymakers are protecting your patients and your specialty by providing a unified voice on critical issues. ASDS membership is the go-to resource to stay informed and keep you at the top of your profession. Membership includes a complimentary subscription to the acclaimed Dermatologic Surgery journal (a $616 value), among many other benefits.

Membership requirements must be met, per the ASDS/A Bylaws, to be accepted back into active membership. The ASDS Membership department will contact you if additional documentation is required.

Application Process

  1. Determine your member type from the list below.
  2. Create your new account to complete the ASDS membership application
    Your password must be 12 characters and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one special character (e.g., @, #, $, %) and one number.
  3. Submit three valid endorsement letters from current ASDS Fellows.
    — If you are an AAD member or a Corresponding Fellow applicant, only one endorsement letter is required.
    — Corresponding Fellow applicants must also provide proof of dermatology certification (in English) from country in which they are practicing.
  4. Pay $95 USD non-refundable application fee.
  5. An application is complete only when the form, endorsements letter(s) and application fee have been received. When the application is complete, it will be submitted for ASDS Board of Directors approval.
  6. Upon approval by the ASDS Board of Directors and receipt of the dues payment in full, applicants will be able to register for meetings and purchase most ASDS products at the member rate. They will begin to receive member emails, the monthly Dermatologic Surgery journal, the Currents member magazine and access to the members-only section of the ASDS website, ASDS Connect digital community and ASDS Learn online education resources.

FELLOW

  • Certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology or by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Resides in the United States or Canada
  • $725 USD annually

INTERNATIONAL CORRESPONDING FELLOW

  • Physician in good standing with at least three years specializing in dermatology
  • Resides outside of the United States and Canada
  • $600 USD annually

INTERNATIONAL ONLINE CORRESPONDING FELLOW

  • $150 USD annually if residing in countries defined by the World Bank as low income or lower-middle income economies.
  • $300 USD annually if not a low or lower-middle income country in the current year.
  • Dermatologic Surgery journal online access only

ASSOCIATE

  • Physician in good standing
  • Resides in the United States or Canada
  • Three years of experience specializing in the practice of dermatology or is a teacher or graduate student of dermatology; and who meets or is pursing
  • Membership dues annually, vary by years of residency

RESIDENT

  • Resides in the United States, Canada or Internationally.
  • Enrolled in an approved dermatology residency training program
  • Complimentary membership

ADJUNCT

  • An individual who works for an organization that supplies products and/or services to the dermatology / dermatologic surgery market and who is not directly involved in patient care
  • $725 USD annually
