2026 nominations are being accepted through Friday, June 5.

The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery is seeking nominees for the Award for Outstanding Service, recognizing emerging leaders of have made meaningful contributions to Society’s growth and success.  

Eligible nominees must be ASDS members in good standing, who are one to ten years out of residency. In addition, have volunteered their time and effort to the Society and Association for a minimum of three consecutive years in multiple capacities, i.e. involved in projects, on committees and work groups, faculty roles or other contributions. 

  • Committee, work group or task force participation

  • Participation in ASDS skin cancer screening programs

  • Development of new programs or services for the ASDS/A

  • Participation in educational programs and offerings
    Service as a representative to the Board of Directors or AMA

  • Participation in the leadership and mentoring programs

ASDS members may not be nominated for an award while serving as a member of the Award Work Group. Nominees may not be nominated by their spouse or domestic partner.

To nominate an individual, submit the nominee’s name, along with a detailed summary of the nominee’s sustained service to the ASDS and/or ASDSA. The nomination must be seconded by an ASDS member. Nominations must be submitted no later than June 5, 2026.
